OUR COACHES

HEAD COACH
Anna Folk
Coach Anna Folk is a Mandan High School graduate and a familiar face in the Braves volleyball community, as she returns to lead the program after previously serving as head coach for ten seasons.
Anna brings a wealth of coaching experience, having most recently served as the assistant women’s volleyball coach at Bismarck State College for the past three seasons. Her return to Mandan High School marks an exciting new chapter for the Braves, as she steps back into a leadership role with a deep understanding of the program, the Western Dakota Association (WDA), and the local volleyball landscape. Welcome Back, Anna!
Sierra Graff
I grew up in Oxbow, ND and graduated from Kindred High School in 2016. After high school, I went on to Bismarck State College where I played volleyball. After my two years at BSC I transferred to NDSU and finished my bachelor’s degree. I then moved back to Bismarck and have been coaching at Mandan since fall of 2022. Aside from coaching, I am a sales representative for Next Generation Gaming. I love traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Shelby Gustafson
Coach Shelby is Mandan born and raised—and proud to be back where it all started!
A former Brave and Mandan alum, she now shares her love for volleyball as the sophomore coach. In her second season with the Braves, she’s passionate about helping players grow in skill, confidence, and team connection.
Off the court, Shelby works full-time as a project manager, spends time with friends and family, and—you guessed it—plays, watches, and talks volleyball any chance she gets.
Fun fact: She now coaches alongside her former high school coach, Anna—a full-circle moment!

Kaitlin Leier is a Bismarck native and former collegiate volleyball player at Mayville State University. She’s entering her third year coaching at Mandan High School and has experience working with athletes of all ages. Outside of volleyball, Kaitlin teaches 2nd grade at Myhre Elementary and enjoys life with her son Archie, her significant other Ethan, and their dog, Creed.
Heidi Mack
Hi! I'm Heidi Mack, and I'm originally from Linton, ND. I grew up playing volleyball and spent my high school years as an outside hitter, this is where I learned to love the game, the team energy, and the challenges that come with it.
This will be my first year coaching volleyball and I will be the Freshman B coach!
I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Bismarck High School, and I'm excited to bring that same passion for learning and growing into the gym. My goal this season is to help athletes build their skills, gain confidence, and have fun along the way.
Fun fact: In the summer, I work for Love Always Floral, helping prep flowers and set up for weddings-it's a creative change of pace that I really enjoy!
Looking forward to a great season with this team!

Amanda is passionate about all things volleyball: playing, coaching, teaching, learning, and watching. Her favorite things about coaching are the connections built with the players and seeing their confidence grow in their skills.
